5-band wall lamp • Jules Wabbes

DSC01653

Jules Wabbes (1919–1974) was a seminal Belgian designer celebrated for his architectural approach to furniture and lighting. With a deep respect for craftsmanship and noble materials, he created objects that are both rigorously constructed and visually refined. Wabbes collaborated closely with architects on bespoke interiors, developing a design language marked by clarity, proportion, and a quiet sense of luxury—qualities that have made his work enduringly relevant.

This sculptural wall lamp, crafted in nickel-plated bronze, reflects Wabbes’ commitment to structural rhythm and material integrity. Conceived as a composition of five concentric rings, the design balances geometry with weight, creating a strong architectural presence. Light diffuses elegantly above and below the shade, while subtly grazing the stepped surfaces—producing a layered, atmospheric glow that transforms both object and space.
