The facade still carries the characteristics of classical grandeur, but once you cross the threshold, the space embraces a lightness and spaciousness that evoke a serene atmosphere. Surprising choices provide welcome contrasts, most noticeable in the high-gloss finish of the joinery and furniture. It is this pursuit of surprise and contrast that characterizes this project. Although no walls were demolished, each function found a new position within the existing layout, a challenge that in time provided new insights. In short, the architectural structures remained intact, but the soul of the space was recreated. An extensive palette of materials and colors forms the musical score of this composition.
